Why CLōD works everywhere you already build

CLōD exposes a fully OpenAI-compatible API, which is the reason every tool on this page works without a custom plugin or SDK. If a tool already supports OpenAI, it already supports CLōD. In practice, connecting is two changes: set the base URL to https://api.clod.io/v1 and use your CLōD API key. Your prompts, tools, function-calling schemas, and streaming behavior stay identical, so there is nothing to rewrite and nothing to relearn.

Behind that single endpoint, CLōD monitors real-time electricity spot prices across GPU data centers and routes each request to the lowest-cost server that can serve your chosen model. You can also append a routing strategy to any model name to bias for price, latency, or quality. The result is access to 50+ open and frontier models on one key, up to 60% cheaper than calling providers directly, with 100 free requests every day and no fallbacks that silently downgrade your model. For agent builders running long, multi-step chains, those per-call savings add up to a materially smaller inference bill at the end of the month.

AI coding editors

Cursor, Windsurf, and the VS Code agent extensions (Cline, Roo Code, Kilo Code) all speak the OpenAI Chat Completions format. Point them at CLōD's base URL, paste your key, and keep the exact editor workflow you already know while your requests route to the cheapest available GPU capacity.

Agent frameworks & CLIs

LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI Codex, OpenCode, and OpenClaw connect through the same OpenAI-compatible interface. Because agentic runs fan out into many chained calls, they are where energy-aware routing compounds hardest, every step lands on lower-cost inference without changing your orchestration code.

Automation & no-code

n8n and Make let you call 50+ models from a visual workflow. Use the CLōD community node in n8n or a plain HTTP module in Make to add cheaper AI to any automation, from lead enrichment to content pipelines, with a single API key.

Getting started takes about five minutes

Create a free account at app.clod.io, generate an API key from the API Keys tab, and follow the guide for your tool above. If you would rather start from raw code, the Quickstart walks through your first request, and the API Reference documents every parameter and routing strategy. Not sure a model fits your use case?
